Description: Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU ) is a public central university in New Delhi, the capital of India. In 2012 The National Assessment and Accreditation Council gave the university a grade of 3.9 out of 4, the highest grade awarded to any educational institution in the country.It is one of the top universities in the country, ranking third according to the National Institutional Ranking Framework. It is known for intense student activism and providing a liberal democratic space for students in India.

Applications are invited for the following 02 (TWO) post in DST sponsored project titled “Detection and quantification of forest structure and function in the Himalayan foothills using in situ and remotely sensed hyperspectral data”

Post: Junior Research Fellow (TWO)

Salary: As per DST scale

Duration: Till project ends or April 2019; which-so-ever is earlier

Essential qualification:

1.Masters’ in Remote Sensing/Geoinformatics/Physics/Computer Sciences/ Environmental Sciences/Environmental Studies/Forestry with practical knowledge of hyper-spectral remote sensing

Desirable Qualifications:

1.Working experience in ENVI.

2.Working knowledge of IDL/Matlab/R or other similar packages.

3.National Eligibility Test (NET)
