Our group is interested in the mechanisms that govern homeostasis at mucosal surfaces and regulate inflammation and tumor development. The respective project focuses on the role of calcium-dependent signaling pathways in the control of tumor development in the gastrointestinal tract and is based on genetically modified mice (Peuker et al., Nat. Med.2016).
The position offers an excellent opportunity to join a group of enthusiastic researchers applying complementary methods in a cross-disciplinary environment. The DFG Research Center for Regenerative Therapies Dresden (www.crt-dresden.de) forms a network of more than 80 research groups working in the areas of Immunology, Hematology, Diabetes, Neurodegenerative diseases, and Bone Regeneration. The CRTD offers a new state-of-theart building equipped with comprehensive, shared technology platforms. The building is located on the Life Science Campus next to the Biotechnology Centre, the Max-Planck-Institute for Molecular Cell Biology and Genetics, and the University Hospital.
Candidates interested in the postdoctoral position should hold a PhD degree in a relevant field. The position is offered for 18 months. Extension of the contract is desired but dependent on funding. Salary is according to E13 (100%) TV-L. Expertise in the work with genetically modified mice as well as in standard techniques of molecular biology (PCR, Western blot) and immunology (flow cytometry) is desired.
The technical assistant position is also offered for 18 months. Extension of the contract is desired but dependent on funding. Salary is according to qualification and ranges from E7 to E9 TV-L. Expertise in the work with mice as well as in standard techniques of molecular biology and immunology is desired.
