Description: Development and application of diversity-oriented macrocyclic synthesis to the identification of Ras inhibitors.
Requirements (mandatory): PhD in Synthetic Organic Chemistry, excellent practical organic chemistry skills and chemical knowledge, excellent problem solving skills, and the confidence to think creatively to overcome challenges, strong communicating and influencing skills at all levels.
Requirements (desirable): Experience in computational chemistry modelling and a proven record of publication in reputable and peer reviewed journals.
Responsibilities: Applying and developing cyclisation strategies to deliver novel macrocycles, providing synthetic chemistry input into the design of target macrocycle libraries based on structural and computational modelling, applying diversity-oriented macrocyclic synthesis to deliver target compounds, finding solutions to synthetic chemistry problems and contributing to data analysis and inhibitor design and aiming to publish in high-impact chemistry and chemical biology journals.
