The agreement expands over an existing relationship wherein Rave and TSDV are used in Biogen’s diverse clinical development portfolio. The portfolio includes various neurological, autoimmune and rare diseases.

This expanded usage of Medidata’s technology platform will bolster study planning and execution, site performance and data quality across all of Biogen’s clinical development programs.

Medidata is thrilled to provide Biogen with next-generation technology to help accelerate scientific innovation. We look forward to expanding this relationship and contributing to Biogen’s efforts to pursue novel treatments as they seek to improve the standard of care for patients living with serious unmet medical conditions.”-Tarek Sherif, CEO, Medidata

A mammoth undertaking, supporting more than 11,000 clinical studies for customers worldwide, 420,000 investigational sites and more than 3.1 million trial participants, the Medidata platform will aid in efficient clinical trial design and execution. This will lead to better research and treatment options being made available to patients worldwide.

Medidata’s cloud technology seeks to allow researchers to translate tonnes of  patient data obtained from various devices and technologies, into clear data  about the efficacy, safety, tolerability and appropriate dosage of medical treatments.

Companies like Eli Lilly and Pfizer have also utilized cloud computing facilities and have earned huge profits by reducing the time and  by utilizing their precise analytics technology.
